MEET KERRY WORTHY
Born and raised in Hendersonville, NC, Kerry moved to Brevard at 18 and quickly found herself both a mother and an entrepreneur. At just 21, she launched her first business in automotive detailing. Four years later, she added automotive window tinting to her offerings—working late into the night to perfect the skill.
Kerry’s commitment to mastering the trade extended beyond vehicles. She pursued specialized training to learn flat glass tinting—including residential windows and commercial storefronts. Recognizing a growing demand in Western North Carolina, she expanded the business to serve homes and businesses in the region.
After nearly three decades of running a full-service detail and tint shop, Kerry decided to focus solely on her passion—window tinting. The detailing side of the business was phased out, and the shop was renamed The Tint Shop of Brevard, now operating with premium-grade materials from KDX Films to ensure top-tier results for every job.

MEET COLBY LAUGHTER
Colby, Kerry’s oldest child, shares the same drive and commitment that helped shape the business. A Brevard High and Brevard College graduate, he began his career at Flint Group, working his way into a management role over eight years.
Today, Colby manages The Tint Shop of WNC alongside his mother. As Kerry looks toward retirement, Colby is prepared to carry the family legacy forward—serving Western North Carolina with the same integrity, skill, and attention to detail that the shop was founded on.

The Tint Shop began as a dream in a small garage, driven by grit, determination, and the will to create a better future.
